The Finance Division is responsible for:

• Preparation of the City Budget and Capital Improvement Project Budget documents

• Purchase review

Business Licenses

If you are planning to conduct business in the City of Menifee you must obtain a City of Menifee business license. If you are starting a new business, you must also check to see if you need to record a Fictitious Business Name by contacting the Riverside County Assessor or if you require a state reseller's license by contacting the State Board of Equalization.

Depending on the type of business you conduct, you may be required to interact with more than one City department to acquire a business license. For example, your business facility may require City zoning or building code approval, or the services you provide may require special licenses.

Businesses that are not physically located within the city limits may also be required to obtain a City of Menifee business license if they are working within the City. For detailed information on the City's business tax, licenses and regulations, please review the City's Municipal Code.

The Board of Equalization (BOE) is pleased to announce eReg, a new Electronic Registration system, effective June 18,2012. eReg will help businesses get their necessary permits with the BOE and start operating faster, speeding up their positive local economic impact.
