Duties
The Special Projects / Grants Division provides professional assistance and guidance to departments in developing, financing, and implementing special City and City Council initiatives. These services include:

• Providing legislative support and staffing for regional initiatives
• Staffing for regional initiatives that have potential impact on the City
• Managing projects and initiatives for marketing the City

Responsibilities
The Division is responsible for all federal, State, and local ongoing and competitive grant opportunities, and for identified procurement and implementation for specific and ongoing grant supported projects and initiatives. The Division provides management oversight of the specialized consultants utilized by the City for pursuing those grants for which the City is qualified and considered highly competitive for success.

The Division is also responsible for management of the City's Community Service Areas (CSA), including assessment of operating budgets for each CSA as related to:

• Revenue generation
• Annual assessment engineering oversight for setting assessments
• Contract oversight for service providers
