New Home Buyer Stimulus Program
GENERAL INFORMATION
- Home purchased in Menifee must be a newly built home & escrow must have closed after July 01, 2009
- Program will run from July 01, 2009 - until funds have been expended (funds are limited and will be dispersed on a first come, first serve basis).
- The home purchased must be within the City of Menifee and must be a newly built home
- The home purchaser must be first owner of the new home and be their primary resident
- Stimulus Funds include a VISA Debit Card, currently $500
- In addition, three Menifee retailers have agreed to provide additional incentives when purchasing goods with Stimulus Debit Card
- Reimbursement of 50% of the City’s portion of the property tax portion only for a two year period:
Example: $4,000 property tax bill x 13% City Portion x 50%
$4,000 x 13% x 50% = $260 reimbursement
Note: Reimbursement does not apply to any special taxes.
