While City Hall is open to the public Monday through Thursday, City Hall will continue to be open for business virtually via our "Zero Stop Shop".

In person meetings at City Hall may be scheduled when City Hall is open to the public. We encourage continued use of video/phone meetings.
Electronic submittals are still required. If hard copies are necessary, these will be accepted by mail or when city hall is open to the public.

Submit permit applications and plans online to firstname.lastname@example.org. Incomplete applications will be emailed back.
All solar permits and plans will be submitted electronically to email@example.com (no exceptions).
All corrections will be provided electronically via email. All correspondence will be conducted via the applicant.
Project requiring Temporary Certificates of Occupancy (TCO) or Certificates of Occupancy (C of O) must submit a "Certificate of Occupancy form" via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Building and Safety Technicians will coordinate with Planning, Engineering and Fire for approval of occupancy. Conditions of Approval not met will be identified and returned to the applicant. These will be mailed or sent electronically via email to the applicant. Applicants must still coordinate with outside (non-city) agencies/departments for their approval where applicable (for example, EMWD, So Cal Edison, Riverside County Environmental Health).
All fees will be invoiced by the Building & Safety Department and a copy of the invoice will be provided electronically to the applicant. Payments for invoices will be accepted via credit cards with the appropriate City of Menifee form, checks via the United States Postal Service, or by setting up a deposit account via wire transfer. For credit card payments or deposits via wire transfer, please contact the City’s cashier at (951) 723-3883 or email@example.com . If you are sending a payment via check through the mail, please include copies of all invoices being paid. All credit card and wire transfer payments will be posted within 24 hours of receipt. If paying by check via the mail, because of quarantine procedures and remote work conditions, it may take up to 7 days to process check payments. In person payments can be accepted when City Hall is open to the public.
Applicants must notify the Building & Safety department once all applicable fees have been paid. Upon receipt of this notification, the applicant will be provided the License Declaration via email.
Permits and plans may be picked up from City Hall by appointment only. To schedule a pick-up, call (951) 723-3877 or visit our Qless system online.
Field Inspections will continue for all exterior and unoccupied dwelling units/construction. Interior inspections of mechanical/HVAC and water heaters may be conducted via video or submission of photos using a template. Menifee Municipal Code Section 8.01.010, Hours of Construction states that any construction within the City limits located 1/4 of a mile from an occupied residence is permitted only Monday through Saturday, except on nationally recognized holidays, from 6:30am to 7:00pm.
Construction on Sunday or nationally recognized holidays are not permitted unless prior approval is obtained from the City Building Official or City Engineer.
